Anxiety Treatment Center in Lantana, Florida
Olympic Behavioral Health's anxiety treatment center operates at 3618 Lantana Road in Lantana, Florida, 12 miles south of West Palm Beach, and serves Palm Beach County.
Anxiety disorders are psychiatric conditions in which persistent worry drives avoidance of the situations that trigger it.
Our JCAHO-accredited, DCF-licensed program treats generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and social anxiety disorder in adults aged 18 to 65, at partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) or outpatient (OP). An anxiety therapist holds one plan with one clinical team, scheduled around work, school and childcare.

Worry and Avoidance
Our Florida Anxiety Treatment Center Treats Worry and the Avoidance It Drives
Olympic Behavioral Health provides treatment for worry and anxiety-related avoidance behaviors through various levels of care, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. Avoidance is what the three anxiety diagnoses have in common, and avoidance is what the treatment plan targets.
Avoidance is the behavior that keeps an anxiety disorder running. An adult cancels the drive, the meeting or the call, anxiety falls within minutes, and the prediction that made the cancellation feel necessary comes back larger.
An estimated 19.1 percent of adults in the United States had an anxiety disorder in the past year, on National Institute of Mental Health figures collected between 2001 and 2003.
Olympic Behavioral Health holds a dual license for substance abuse and mental health from the Florida Department of Children and Families. A client then sees psychiatry, therapy, and case management for anxiety in one Lantana building instead of two.
Paced Breathing: Settle the Alarm Before You Cancel
About 80 SecondsPaced breathing is a distress tolerance skill taught in dialectical behavior therapy. Making the out-breath longer than the in-breath slows the body alarm that fires in the minutes before a drive, a meeting, or a call. Pick a pattern, press start, and follow the circle for four rounds. Nothing is typed and nothing is stored.
Sit where you are, let your shoulders drop, and start by breathing all the way out.
Why the count matters. A fixed count gives the breath something to follow, which is the whole reason clinicians pace it rather than saying take a deep breath. Nobody has to feel calm for it to be working.
Four rounds done. That was one distress tolerance skill. Paced breathing is the smallest skill in the DBT set, and it is the one that works when the alarm is already firing. Distress tolerance is one of four DBT skill modules, alongside emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Olympic Behavioral Health teaches all four modules in the DBT skills training group at the Lantana center. Call and an admissions specialist will check what your plan covers, at no cost.
Admission Criteria
Who Our Outpatient Anxiety Treatment Admits, and Who It Refers Out
Adults aged 18 to 65 are admitted after a phone assessment and clinical approval. Outpatient anxiety treatment at Olympic Behavioral Health fits someone medically stable who goes home at the end of the day, and anyone needing supervision is referred to a facility that provides it.
Adults in anxiety treatment at Olympic Behavioral Health work, study, and raise families around it. Anyone who recognizes themselves, or someone they love, in this list should call:
- ✓Worry has run on most days for six months or longer
- ✓Weekly therapy already ran and the gains did not hold
- ✓Driving, meetings, or plans get handed to somebody else
- ✓Panic attacks arrive with no trigger the person can name
- ✓Sleep breaks up while the mind rehearses tomorrow

Inside the Week
What a Week of Anxiety Therapy at Olympic Behavioral Health Contains
Each client’s week of anxiety treatment is one individual session of 50 minutes to 1 hour, daily groups, and psychiatric review. Olympic Behavioral Health names a primary therapist and a case manager for each client on the day of admission.
A client is in the building 9 AM to 12 PM for morning groups at Olympic Behavioral Health. Partial hospitalization adds an afternoon block of 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday groups run 10 AM to 1 PM. Evening meetings run Monday through Friday, and clients on the mental health track attend Zoom meetings through NAMI.
- ✓A trauma assessment at intake, which decides whether the trauma track applies
- ✓DBT skills training, mindfulness training, and art therapy on the Olympic Behavioral Health mental health track
- ✓Psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety, from a certified family nurse practitioner
For Families
Family Support While an Adult Is in Anxiety Treatment
A relative joins treatment from the first week. Olympic Behavioral Health runs a families-only Zoom meeting on Monday from 7 PM to 9 PM, weekly family therapy as needed, and weekly contact from the primary therapist.
The Monday Family Meeting
The Monday Zoom runs 7 PM to 9 PM for families only, with no clients in the room. It runs as a support group on what relatives are carrying and how they cope with it.
Family Therapy Sessions
Family therapy runs weekly as needed and includes couples sessions or sessions involving children where the treatment plan calls for them.
Weekly Contact From the Clinical Team
Therapists and staff contact the family weekly. A monthly family newsletter covers programming, alumni events, and what changes at each step down.
Calling on Someone Else's Behalf
Admissions takes the first call from the adult with anxiety or from the person searching for them. A benefit check runs on either call, at no cost and with no obligation to admit.
Hours Per Week
How Many Hours a Week Anxiety Treatment Programs Take
Partial hospitalization runs 30 or more hours a week, intensive outpatient runs morning groups Monday to Saturday, and outpatient is one 3-hour group. Clients step down as the hours reduce, and the average stay at partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient is 30 to 45 days.
| Level of Care | Hours per Week | Schedule | What the Week Contains | Who It Fits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHP, Partial Hospitalization | 30+ hours | Seven days. Weekdays 9 AM to 3:30 PM, weekends 10 AM to 1 PM | Daily CBT and DBT skills groups, psychiatry, individual and family therapy | Anxiety that has already stopped the working week |
| IOP, Intensive Outpatient | 9 to 12 hours | Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 12 PM | Morning groups, weekly individual therapy, medication management | A job that resumes while anxiety settles |
| OP, Outpatient | 4 hours | One 3-hour group each week | Group therapy and long-term coping skills practice | Maintenance after intensive outpatient |
Anxiety with a substance side. Where a substance use disorder has become part of the pattern, a client moves to the dual diagnosis treatment track, and Olympic Behavioral Health puts both conditions on a single plan.
Start Anxiety Treatment This Week
Olympic Behavioral Health offers same-day admission to anxiety treatment once admission criteria are met, with next-day as the alternative.
Modalities Delivered
Choosing an Olympic Behavioral Health Therapist for Anxiety Counseling
An anxiety counselor at Olympic Behavioral Health is assigned by the modality the diagnosis calls for, not by the next open slot. The bench that assignment draws on is a Ph.D. clinical director, three primary therapists and six group facilitators.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy makes the anxious prediction explicit. Each client writes it down, tests it against the evidence, and replaces it.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
DBT is a skills training model. Distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills apply while anxiety is firing the body alarm.
EMDR for Trauma-Driven Anxiety
EMDR reprocesses the memory driving trauma-linked anxiety, using guided eye movement. Rapid Trauma Resolution reaches the same memory without a detailed retelling.
Neurofeedback for Panic and Arousal
Neurofeedback shows brainwave activity back to the client in real time, which trains the arousal response under a panic attack.
Family Therapy
Family therapy runs weekly, where the treatment plan calls for it. A separate meeting for relatives runs 7 PM to 9 PM on Monday.
Group Therapy for Social Anxiety
Group therapy runs on separate mental health and substance abuse tracks, so an adult in anxiety treatment is in the room that matches the diagnosis.
Exposure Therapy for Avoidance
Exposure therapy works on the situation anxiety has removed from the week. A client re-enters the driving, the meeting, or the call in graded steps, and the prediction loses its evidence.
Motivational Interviewing for Treatment Hesitance
Motivational interviewing addresses the adult who booked the anxiety assessment and then wanted to cancel it. The therapist works with the hesitance instead of arguing against it.
Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma-Linked Anxiety
Cognitive processing therapy targets the belief a traumatic event installed. A client examines that belief in writing and tests whether the evidence still supports it.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming, art therapy, and nutrition education run alongside each client's anxiety treatment plan.
Diagnoses Admitted
Generalized Anxiety Disorder Treatment, Panic Disorder and Social Anxiety
Three anxiety diagnoses are admitted at Olympic Behavioral Health: generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and social anxiety disorder. Each client enters through one admissions route to one clinical team.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Generalized anxiety disorder is worry across several areas of life on most days for six months. Olympic Behavioral Health puts cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT skills training, and medication management on one plan.
Panic Disorder Treatment
Panic disorder is repeated panic attacks plus a standing fear of the next one. Someone with panic enters the same three levels, with weekly individual therapy and psychiatric review.
Social Anxiety Treatment
Social anxiety is fear of judgment in rooms with other people. Group therapy carries most of the work, because the room is where the avoidance shows up.
Depression Alongside Anxiety
Low mood is named as its own diagnosis when it sits alongside an anxiety disorder. Olympic Behavioral Health carries both on one plan, and depression treatment runs on the same three levels of care.
Anyone who meets post-traumatic stress criteria at intake also enters the trauma treatment track. Anyone whose symptoms are driven by rituals or intrusive thoughts enters the OCD treatment track.
Insurance and Cost
How Insurance Pays for an Anxiety Treatment Facility in Lantana, Florida
Insurance pays for an anxiety treatment facility as an outpatient behavioral health benefit. Olympic Behavioral Health is in-network with TRICARE and works with PPO plans on out-of-network benefits, so a family learns the cost before admission, at no charge and no obligation.
TRICARE covers active-duty military, veterans, and their families. Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, GEHA, Humana, and Anthem are accepted on out-of-network PPO benefits. What a plan pays turns on the level of care and the deductible, so the Olympic Behavioral Health admissions team gives each caller that figure before anxiety treatment starts.
INSURANCES WE ACCEPTTRICARE is the only in-network plan. Every other payer named is accepted on out-of-network PPO benefits. Olympic Behavioral Health does not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
Anxiety Treatment Insurance Verification
Free and confidential. The Olympic Behavioral Health admissions team responds Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Why Olympic Behavioral Health
Six Reasons Adults in Palm Beach County Pick Olympic Behavioral Health as Their Preferred Anxiety Center
Six things separate anxiety treatment at Olympic Behavioral Health: a true outpatient model, psychiatry inside the building, a mental health census, a trauma track with neurofeedback, TRICARE in-network status, and one therapist from partial hospitalization to outpatient. All of it runs under one roof in Lantana, with 10 clinical staff and 18 technical staff on site.
A True Outpatient Model
Clients keep their phones and their ordinary daily freedoms. Anxiety treatment at Olympic Behavioral Health is genuine outpatient care, not a restricted alternative to it.
Psychiatry Inside the Building
Each client sees a certified family nurse practitioner on site for medication management, with a board-certified psychiatrist as medical director.
A Mental Health Census, Not a Rehab
Roughly 80 percent of the census at Olympic Behavioral Health is mental health rather than substance use. Most partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient providers in Palm Beach County lead with substance use instead.
Trauma Track With Neurofeedback
Clients whose anxiety sits on unresolved trauma get EMDR, Rapid Trauma Resolution, and neurofeedback together.
TRICARE In-Network
TRICARE benefits for anxiety treatment are verified directly with the contractor at no cost to the client or the family.
One Therapist From PHP to OP
The same primary therapist follows each client through every step down, so nobody repeats their anxiety history to a stranger.
Admissions
Admission to the Olympic Behavioral Health Anxiety Treatment Center Takes 30 Minutes
Admission takes about 30 minutes on an expedited intake and starts with one phone call, from the person with anxiety or the person searching for them. Olympic Behavioral Health verifies benefits before the clinical assessment, so a family knows the cost first.
Megan Bracken and the Olympic Behavioral Health admissions team explain anxiety treatment on that first call, then answer whatever a family asks.
A benefit check confirms what the plan pays for anxiety treatment at each level of care. The check is free and carries no obligation to admit.
A phone assessment gathers psychiatric history, anxiety symptom history and current function. Lisa Alleva, the clinical director, approves each admission and sets the starting level of care.
Intake, paperwork, and a belongings search come first on day one of anxiety treatment. A clinical meeting with Lisa Alleva or the assigned therapist follows, then the initial clinical assessments.

After Treatment
Step-Down, Discharge Planning, and the Alumni Program
Anxiety treatment at Olympic Behavioral Health steps down from partial hospitalization to intensive outpatient to outpatient on clinical assessment, not on a fixed calendar date. A case manager builds the discharge plan before the last group runs.
Discharge Planning
The case manager assembles psychiatrist referrals for medication management, therapist referrals for continuing outpatient therapy, and a meeting schedule packet for the client's own area. Every client leaves with a discharge resource packet.
Continuing Care Referrals
Olympic Behavioral Health refers each discharged client to a partner doctor group for continuing therapy and medical services. The referral is arranged before the final week rather than after it.
The Alumni Program
Ryan Yonkers runs alumni services: weekly Zoom meetings, monthly in-person meetings, quarterly events, and a monthly newsletter. Out-of-state alumni join the monthly meeting by Zoom.
Alumni mark mental health milestones as well as sober milestones, and the alumni Facebook group stays open after discharge.

Does insurance cover therapy for anxiety?
Yes. Insurance covers anxiety therapy as an outpatient behavioral health benefit. Olympic Behavioral Health is in-network with TRICARE and takes PPO plans on out-of-network benefits. The figure a plan pays turns on the level of care and the remaining deductible.
How do I know if my anxiety needs treatment?
Anxiety needs treatment when it starts deciding things for you. Anxiety that changes what you take on, how you sleep, or whether you leave the house is worth an assessment. Olympic Behavioral Health provides outpatient anxiety treatment only, and refers anyone needing supervision elsewhere.
How long does therapy for anxiety take?
Most clients stay 30 to 45 days at partial hospitalization and at intensive outpatient, and weekly individual therapy continues through outpatient step-down. The Olympic Behavioral Health clinical team sets each step-down date from the assessment rather than from a fixed calendar number.
Does therapy help with anxiety?
Yes. Cognitive behavioral therapy is the first-line psychological treatment for generalized anxiety disorder. Clients attend daily groups plus one individual session of 50 minutes to 1 hour each week with an assigned primary therapist, alongside psychiatric review at Olympic Behavioral Health.
Can generalized anxiety disorder be treated?
Yes. Generalized anxiety disorder responds to structured outpatient care. Olympic Behavioral Health treats it with cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and psychiatric medication management on a single treatment plan. Admission starts with a phone assessment and clinical approval from the clinical director.

Intake with technical staff comes first, then paperwork and a belongings search. A clinical meeting with the clinical director or the assigned therapist follows, and both a case manager and a primary therapist are named that day. Van transport runs from Lake Worth for every scheduled group.
When should someone seek inpatient treatment for anxiety?
Inpatient treatment fits anxiety that needs supervision through the day and overnight. Olympic Behavioral Health runs partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care only, and refers anyone who needs that supervision to a facility that provides it.
