Gina Savino, LMFT is originally from Connecticut and earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She later moved to Florida to complete her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University and became a licensed therapist in 2006. Her career began with the Department of Juvenile Justice, where she worked as a therapist supporting youth involved in the criminal justice system.
Gina went on to spend many years at South County Mental Health as an outpatient therapist, providing care to chronically mentally ill children, adolescents, and adults, as well as offering marital and family therapy. Her professional journey later expanded into substance abuse and mental health treatment settings, where she has held numerous clinical and leadership roles, including Clinical Director for PHP, IOP, and OP programs, as well as detoxification and residential facilities.
Gina has a strong passion for working with individuals living with chronic mental illness and their families and has facilitated family support groups for loved ones navigating mental health challenges. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist and Compulsive Gambling Certified, and is deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
